I absolutely love this desk. It’s a good size and sturdy. I’m able to keep my computer and printer on it and they fit nicely. :)Title says it all. You probably already know if you want this desk or not. But regardless, some of the things to know if you are buying/considering buying it:** Design **The layout and arrangement is actually pretty good! The side cubbies have been more useful than I thought - perfect size for my printer and other accoutrements. I like that it's pretty small and compact - but I still have room for two monitors. Although it's worth pointing out that the design is not reversible - the shelves have to be on the right.Although I will give it demerits for the keyboard drawer - it's barely big enough for my compact keyboard and a mousepad. It really could use another 3-4 inches of width.** Aesthetics **The desk is pleasant looking, but you won't be fooling anyone that this is an expensive desk. Stamped metal and laminated particle board. Also, the middle shelf of the cubbies doesn't align with the other two and that frustrates me every time I look at it.** Hardware **Some of the boards were already cracked during shipping, and there was some rust on bits of the frame. Nothing too major - nothing that shows. But still, a bit frustrating.I appreciate that they provide assembly tools, but the hex wrench they provided immediately stripped itself on the parts. Make sure you have your own tools. They also use some really goofy screws for some of these parts. Also, the edges of the sliders are razer sharp out of the box - especially the ones that stick out from the edges of the keyboard drawer! Don't cut yourself! Find a stone or asp and dull it down first thing.** Assembly **Assembly is pretty straightforward but very time consuming. Instructions are not great. Be warned that there are a few things that are very easy to put in upside down or backwards. It took me about 2 hours.Overall, pretty happy with the desk, especially for what I paid for it. Would buy it again.Would I buy this if I had it to do over? Hell no! Bad instructions. Wrong video. Wrong drawer parts!I purchased this desk, thought it was going to go together easy. It did except the drawers, when I tried to remove 1 rail to continue building, the ball bearings kept falling. Was offered $20 credit, However, that does me know good because I can't use the drawer as needed. They said they can't just send a rail. When I sent pics to them, they said can you bend it back in place. So I tried and the bearings will not stay in place to reinstall onto the rail.I think it's a great desk, has 2 drawers and some shelf space, and a keyboard slide but with that said after using it for a few months I realize that is just doesn't have that much space. I have 2 24" monitors and they take up a lot of space on here. I've also got a good size tower underneath it so that means less leg room. It's certainly an upgrade from what I've had before but you may want to go for something with more space and no shelf on top limiting how far over you can place monitors.I promise this by saying much of my furniture is flat box furniture, usually IKEA. IKEA can be expensive and there have been times when items are more difficult to put together than it should be.With that being said, this desk is awesome (with two caveats - I'll address later) and beyond affordable and easy - SO EASY - to assemble. Easier with 2 people but doable with 1.It is SOLID. As other reviewers have mentioned, you can switch the profile and put the shelves on the left, but there aren't holes drilled and threaded for the foot rest/support cross bar on the bottom. If you have the ability to do this, it will work fine. This was quick and easy to put together.First caveat: Except the drawer rails. This were an expletive to figure out, but once you get it, you feel like an idiot for having it take so long. Let me try to verbally explain. Oh, and they are GREASY so proceed with caution. On the inside of the track, there is a black plastic tab. When you are trying to separate the tracks for installation, just push the long skinny plastic triangle to either side as you take off the track. I hope that makes sense to you. Don't handle it too much and place it on paper toweling whilst waiting to install them. They're pre-greased and it's thick.Second caveat: the edges of the drawer track are stoopid sharp. Pulling up to the desk on the chair, it literally cut thick denim on my leg. All it took was taking a metal file to the corners and now it won't kill your clothes. All in all, can't beat it for the price and it's actually worth every penny. We will be looking at this company for other products and my son is getting one when he moves out. That's how great it is.The assembly instructions are easy to understand and pretty straight forward. The drawers and keyboard shelf slides have ball bearings in them so, they move easily without sticking or dragging. Several of the longer screws (4 allen/hex and 8 philips head) are screwed into wood rather than a nut plate and and take a good bit of effort to screw in. For these I recommend either coating the threads with some bar soap or have a strong electric screwdriver on hand to run them in with. I have arthritis in my hands and had to stop several times to rest while doing these screws. The rest of the screws/bolts have nut plates to go into so, can easily be run in by hand then tightened with a tool. The main table top is plenty wide enough for my 27" monitor with room for the speakers on each side and the side shelves are large enough for my printer so, I'm happy with it. It has plenty of leg room underneath as well, even with my PC sitting on the little tray that came with it, I still have room to stretch my legs and sit comfortably. The wood laminate looks great and is just slick enough to be easy to clean without things sliding around. The only con I can see is that the keyboard shelf isn't wide enough to have my mouse next to the keyboard but, that's a small inconvenience. Overall, it seems to be well made and should last a long time.
