I used this desk as an inexpensive counter over my washer and dryer. I wish I bought it years ago because it is a good drying or folding surface that protects the appliance top. The top of my dryer is rusting and this would have kept this from happening if I bought it sooner. I attached felt floor protectors to keep the desk top in place. It doesn’t vibrate or move when washer or dryer are running.I waited two weeks to receive this engineering wood table top. I am remodeling my kitchen, and I want to build a dinner table with a piece of Silestone quartz slab that is left over for the countertop. I was looking for a table top under 5 feet long. The size of this item is perfect. It is about 55" x 28", and it is the perfect size for my new kitchen. My contractor will build out the table with a supported steel frame which I also purchased from Amazon, and top it with a 57" x 30" Silestone quartz slab.I purchased this product for the same reason as EVERYONE ELSE. This is the perfect, inexpensive laundry countertop. Did I want beautiful butcherblock? Of course. Could I afford that? No. This was easy peasy and cheap. I might throw a cube organizer on top too for my linens and towels because my house doesn't have any linen or bathroom storage.I used this to put on top of my washer and dryer. I might used some Command strips later to keep it in place.The inside of the tabletop itself is sturdy and feels secure.However, the surface finish scratches very easily. I use the tabletop to protect the top of my washer and dryer. When I laid down a plastic box on it, the finish scratched, revealing the wood inside! The plastic box had no sharp edges. I had to hide the scratch with a black Sharpie pen.FireThis was packaged incredibly well and was not scratched at all when I received it. I have it sitting atop two sawhorses for stability. I use it for a very large sewing machine and like that is a slick surfaceLove it
