The desk is nice and good to start off with. Not as sturdy as I would like but it is cute.Great solid desk, very easy to assemble, mine did not have a pink tent to it like most said.This is a perfect size desk for my work computerGreat desk. If you want a Trestle Desk this is the one to get. It's very well built, goes together easily, and holds lots of stuff.ASSEMBLY: Only 18 bolts are required, and a handy allen wrench is included in case you don't have one. Instructions are a little better than usual for a desk like this. Yes, there are drawings. I would suggest that you lay all the pieces out on the floor and make sure they are in the correct position. Mine went together only one way: the shelves go on the left. In addition, be careful bolting the shelves to the legs. The metal is thin and could strip.MEASUREMENTS: All measurements on the second picture from the manufacturer are correct except for the shelves. Each shelf is 12" wide. The top shelf is just under 14" deep. The bottom shelf is just under 18" deep. The top shelf is 12" below the desk top. The bottom shelf is 10" below the top shelf.PICTURE: You're looking at a 24" iMac on top of the desk, with a Bose sound system, a LaCie backup disk, and a LED light. The subwoofer is on the bottom shelf. As you can see, I have lots of room.CONCLUSION: I'm very pleased with my purchase, and look forward to years of good service. My last computer station lasted 15+ years and I'm out to beat its record. So far I can't see any reason why it won't.Obviously, this desk is supposed to have a distressed look to the paint... however, the one we received just had a bad paint job. The desk top was ok, but all three legs had drips, and many places where it looked like someone had taken a cloth and wiped paint off, so it looked smeared and showed dark almost fingerprint like spots. I contacted the company asking if they could replace the legs, but they couldn't. The offered to either have us return it and they send a new one or they would give us a discount. Since we are homeschooling and my daughter needed the desk for school we wound up taking the discount as it would take too long to get a new desk. You can't call the company and talk to an actual person, only email... and there was a 24 hour turn around per every email sent. So it took 3 days to go from we have a problem to a resolution and we just didn't have time to wait longer to get the situation fixed. I appreciated the discount, but would rather have gotten replacement legs or a new desk in a more timely manner. It was pretty frustrating and annoying.I can't complain too much; at the time of purchase, this desk was around 50 bucks.Pros: The table top is heavy, level, and dense, sitting securely on top of the trestle legs. It looks decent. It's not fantastic because the legs are a bit thick, but it's not altogether offensive to look at. It's easy to assemble, and nothing wobbles or creaks or came distorted.Cons: The metal of the legs is hollow and thin. Screwing too tightly will cause the metal to bend inward, and no, you can't switch which side the shelves are on unless you don't mind having that horizontal bar where you would constantly bruise your shins against it. That said, this table is still strong enough that I wouldn't hesitate to climb on it to change lightbulbs or something.I bought this desk about 3 weeks ago. I purchased this desk without any professional installment. So I built it all by myself. I wasn’t really aware that the shelves on the side and bottom were going to be metal I assumed wood, that’s my fault. However when the desk came it had some type of stain but I cleaned it off and you can’t really tell because I made it hidden. That dust was all over the box and other parts of the desk. The desk is sturdy and I really like it so far. One mistake I did was add the screws on one side and not do the others so I have a screw sticking out. It also got stuck so I wasn’t able to remove it. I do appreciate that they labeled the screws also which made it easy to assembleIt's a very cute desk pretty easy to assemble. It was smaller than I thought. I admit that I didn't pay any attention to the details of measurements in the product details and that's my fault. I am using the desk and it's cute on my porch.
