I needed a desk for my home office that was light and would keep my small room looking open. This one was relatively easy to put together, only the drawers and legs, if you enjoy puzzles then you'll be OK. I was concerned by the mixed reviews I saw online so wasn't sure what to expect. The item arrived a day earlier than expected and packaged well enough that it was undamaged when unboxing. However, all the legs had dings/gouges where the paint was scratched away, showing the black metal underneath. Assembly took awhile and had a few hiccups but was able to do alone. The legs are high gloss but the desk surface is more like semi-gloss. I'm going to put a piece of glass on top to protect and enhance the look. The instructions were a bit challenging but I got through it. I would recommend this item.Tips:Triple check the way the drawer brackets line up with the screw holes. I had to redo several times before it worked properly.You'll need to apply pressure when installing the brackets and especially the G tube for the drawers (which resulted in 2 broken nails) so I put the legs on last.Drawer 3 MUST install on the left side, 2 on the right otherwise they won't close together.Keep white nail polish on deck, it's high gloss is great to touch up the legs and blends right in (I can't even see where the previous gouges were).
