Pros: Sit/stand transition is very easy and smooth; Lever is very easy to reach; Desk is, overall, very stable; Perfect height options; Desk surface space is ample.Cons: The top is a little wobbly; When the desk is around sitting-height, I have to be careful I don't whack my knees into the lever.I've had this desk for about 3 months. The size of the desk is perfect for my laptop or a keyboard/mouse. I have it up against a desk with my external monitors, making my workspace very flexible, and this works out great with the sit/stand capability. It's definitely nice to be able to stand up after sitting working for hours on end.Because I have the desk on a hardwood floor, I made a slight change where, instead of putting the casters on, I have it resting on felt furniture pads, which works great in my situation.I do have to be careful if I put a drink on it and raise the desk up. I've sloshed my tea a couple times now by raising it because the desk does wobble some. Based on the design, this is to be expected. I often find myself leaning on it while it's in the standing position and it supports me with very little wobble (i.e. it isn't compromising the desk). Granted, I'm not a very heavy person. But I'm about 6+ feet/185cm and the height of the desk suits me well. The desk surface, while it's a wood–pattern–printed laminate covering something that appears to be some form of wood (MDF?), has held up very well. I have a few minor scratches but they don't stand out. As mentioned, I've spilled on it and cleaned them up relatively quickly and it hasn't affected the surface in any way.Overall, I'd say I'm very pleased with the desk. I did see that Ikea recently came out with Bekant variant with an automated raising/lowering feature but I'd probably purchase the Jesper again instead of that desk (although I have considered getting the Bekant to go along with the Jesper). With a flick of a lever, the height can easily be adjusted to accommodate sitting or standing. The design is sort of futuristic meets steampunk. Work surface is quite big and easily handles any laptop with room to spare. If you need extra room for a mouse, or papers, no problem.Overall, I really like this for my needs (stand up computing)Assembly of the desk takes around 10-20 minutes with no extra tools needed. One thing I have noticed after a few weeks of use is that the base unit that is screwed to the desk height unit is a little loose with the supplied tools, you can't get really good tightness on the bolt. I would recommend some "real" tools when assembling.Another thing I have noticed is that the wheels are a little small in diameter for easy rolling on carpet. They roll fine on hard surfaces, but they just seem a little small. They snap on to a screwed in wheel bolt, so there may be a possibility to add different wheels.Overall, this is a pretty decent workstation. The price is a bit more than some of the other laptop stands you may see, but the work surface is larger, it is overall a bit sturdier (all metal construction except for the desktop), and it adjusts very easy with a spring loaded arm. This stand is excellent for a HTPC setup. It fits a Tenkeyless (TKL - No numpad) size keyboard and a mouse perfectly. It can also fit a Fullsize keyboard and a mouse with some reduced room, however TKL or smaller is ideal. There is also room for a standard laptop of up to 17". I am able to fit a 15" laptop (GS60) on the desk while still utilizing my keyboard and mouse. Since the stand uses a single pillar for support, it can be 'wobbly' when exerting pressure on either side of the desk - This causes about half an inch drop on the side exerted on. The bold on my center pillar became loose after a few months so I needed to re-tighten it. The build quality is excellent and this product is for a niche market (Sit-stand desk for mobile users). The finish on the paint is very smooth and can be easily cleaned, just be sure not to allow fluids to sit for prolonged periods of time on the desk or they will leave permanent marks.I wrote a review of this product recently, but mistakenly filed it under walnut and silver instead of the cherry laminate color which I purchased. The product and the company have been outstanding. I use the computer desk with a laptop both in the sitting and upright position and as an alternative to my desktop. I am an attorney and use two computers throughout the day. Occasionally standing and walking about is healthier than sitting for long periods. This computer desk works; it is also attractive. There came a time when the top started to become off center; then the stand became wobbly. I called the company; they offered to take it back even though I had for a couple of months. I asked to speak to their chief engineer. We did a Face time visit using my IPhone. Lo and behold I had assembled slightly incorrectly; once I seated the cylinder correctly the desk became stable--no wobble. Joy to use. I was so impressed by the company's good will, that I wanted to share a very positive review with others. I don't ordinarily write reviews, but wanted to return the favor to others Amazon customers whose reviews were helpful and to the company for their good will.I searched for a long time for an pneumatically adjustable lectern/podium. So if this were a tilting desk, it would have been nearly what I was looking for exactly.Anyhow, we love the style. It fits our modern environment very well. Everyone who uses it (because it's used mainly as a lectern/podium) really likes it. The height is easily adjustable and the surface is a nice amount of space. The item would have received 5 stars had it not had toy quality casters. These tiny plastic casters are a very sad difference in build quality than the rest of the product and I'm surprised they sourced it. If anyone knows where I can get some decent replacement casters, I would gladly purchase some.Price point was a bit higher than I wanted to spend, but it was not so far out reach. Overall, this is a solid purchase and I would definitely recommend it to those considering the purchase.
